My end of term reflection

WALT: evaluate our learning honestly

What is an effective learner?  An effective learner is someone who never gives up but keeps on persevering to reach there goal.

What were the highlights for this term? Why? Tennis with big John because it was really fun and we learnt grasshopper skills.

What were your greatest challenges this term?  Why? Fractions because I was struggling with some of strategies.

How are you going towards acting with integrity? Why? Telling the teacher exactly the story of how something happened.

What are your goals in writing? How do you know these are your goals? To use more onomatopoeia and alliteration, because I’ve read through my stories and seen I haven’t got much of them.

Focus - Persuasive writing

Purpose (Why are we writing)- to persuade people to read my book.

W.A.L.T make a book trailer -

Think of a book trailer as something like a movie trailer. It is a short preview designed to get people excited about your book. When designing a book trailer, you should consider the following.

Success Criteria:

• Persuasive phrase - Words yeah
• Good images from the book yeah
• Not too long - 1 - 1 1/2 minutes yeah
• The music fits the mood of the book - Catchy yeah
• Use the main and most interesting parts yeah
• Persuasive question? - Will the poison work? yeah
• Make sure we don't use the imovie ready made trailers yeah
• We need a plan yeah
• We need a storyboard yeah
